We are excited to start back to school Monday! Just a reminder Monday is NOT a pizza day! Please remember to pack a lunch!

Pizza is now available on school cash online to purchase (by paying for items on line only-this is also your order form).  The next pizza day will begin January 13th.

10th Annual Christmas Shopping Day at St. Patrick

The Parent Council Annual Shopping Day at St. Patrick will be taking place on Friday December 13th. Students will have an opportunity to shop for their immediate family members. Money donated will be going to the Barrhaven Food Cupboard.
We are asking....
  • Instead of students bringing money to the sale, teachers will collecting money prior to the sale. $5.00 is the maximum for a whole family or 1$ per gift. 
  • Students as usual should have their list of people they are buying for when they go down to the gym. 
  • Students should NOT be bringing money to the gym.
  •  Also, please send in a reusable grocery bag to school for Friday so that they can carry their items home.
Looking forward to a festive day of shopping!

A Canadian Christmas Concert

We are having a Christmas Concert at St. Patrick on Wednesday December 18! The theme of the concert will be a "Canadian Christmas". Each class (K -6) will be performing at the concert. There will be two shows and we are asking that you choose the show that is designated by your surname. The first show will be 9 to 10:30 (Surname A-L) and the second show will be 12:30 to 2:00. We are asking that you please stay for the whole show to limit the disruptions.  Looking forward to the Canadian Christmas Spirit at St. Patrick!

KP1 (Morrison & Sayeau) KP2 (Noon Bezaire and Niedopytalski) KP3 (Razzouk and Buccini) KP 4 (Callahan).  If you are unable to attend the interview evening please send a note in to your child’s homeroom team to request a phone interview.

Bullying Awareness and Kindness Week

This week St. Patrick along with schools across the OCSB are engaging in activities to recognize Bullying Awareness Week. Here at St. Patrick we are also focusing on Kindness and how we can use strategies to Choose Kind year round. Students will also be focusing on utilizing strategies with our WITS program.
Activities going on this week....
1. Decorating a pink shirt with messages of friendship, hope & kindness (template attached)
2. School wide Kindness Bingo, attached. Parents and teachers sign off on a space when they see a student performing an act of kindness. To be eligible for a Bingo students must complete two lines, as it is a week long project . The two lines can overlap. On Friday November 22, participating homeroom classes will send names of students who returned a bingo with two completed lines for a school wide draw.

Kindergarten Initial Observation Reports and Kindergarten Interviews

Initial Observation Reports will be going home on Thursday, November 14th. The Parent Teacher/ECE interviews will be on the evening of Thursday, November 21st. On Monday, November 18th there will be a school message sent via School Messenger with a link and a message on the school website with a link to book an interview with your child’s teachers. Interviews will start at 3:20 and will go until 7:50. Each Interview time slot will be for 10 minutes.

Remembrance Day Service on Monday

Our Remembrance Day service will take place on Nov. 11th at 10:30 am. Everyone is welcome to attend.  We’d also like to invite students who are in Cadets, Girl Guides, Scouts, Cubs and Brownies to come dressed in their uniforms.  Student’s will be able to purchase poppies in support of the Canadian Legion on Monday.
